The Homeland Security Program Committee draws together members from industry, government, and academia, to form a critical mass to address policy, procedural, and technical aspects of Homeland Defense and Homeland Security. We bring together pertinent organizations and draw on expertise from the three technical professional societies at the forefront of Aerospace, Marine Technology, and Communications/SignalsIntelligence/Interoperability.
These organizations address their respective contributions to Homeland Defense/Security as small portions of technically focused meetings throughout the year. Each year, the Homeland Security Program Committee organizes a meeting at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. These annual meetings fall on the week before Labor Day weekend, and focus on a specific theme of particular importance to the Homeland Security and Homeland Defense Community.
The Naval Postgraduate School was selected as the conference venue due to its premier programs in Homeland Security and Homeland Defense, as well as the multitude of related institutions that exist in the Monterey Bay area.
Participation in the Homeland Security Program Committee is both welcome and encouraged, with no associated membership fee. Please email HSPC@physics-math. com to get involved.
